As 30 Days of Pink comes to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the partners and supporters of our Band Together Against Breast Cancer Initiative. With their help, and the help of everyone who purchased a pink head band over the past few months, we were able to raise $5,000 to go directly to Susan G Komen Greater Atlanta.
Komen Atlanta provides clinical breast exams, mammograms and biopsies for uninsured men and women of Atlanta, as well as conducting research and raising awareness about breast cancer. With the $5,000 we have donated, Komen will be able to provide 28 mammograms, 2 biopsies and 20 clinical breast exams to the men and women of Atlanta.
We at Best Self Atlanta are so thrilled we could make this impact on breast cancer in Atlanta, but we know we would not have been able to accomplish it without our partners and sponsors banding together with us to make it happen.
